2005 r1200gs high idle at start up

Been in garage for 2 weeks on side stand. Started bike up and revs to 4,000+. Any one have a fix for this? Know what the problem is?

It sounds as if one of your cables is not fully returning to the idle position. Make sure the cable ends are fully seated on the lower ends on each side and coming out of the Bowden box and that the cables are not binding when the throttle is moved through it's full range.

I got the same situation when adjusting the cables coming out of the Bowden box during a TB sync.

I tried to find a pic of the cable end not seated into the Bowden box but didn't have any luck.
