Tom,

Did you have any trouble getting back to town with the broken sub-frame?

Nope, used the ratchet strap and it held up pretty well.
Had it welded for $20 in Moab. It lasted the whole way back including some interesting sections of Devil's Punch Bowl on the way up to Schofield.

We met another inmate in Gunnison and he confirmed that they officially opened White Rim Rd that Monday.

It was great to meet all Y'all Mississippi folks

I'm pretty sure it wasn't "officially" open. It needed a lot of work.

Do y'all ever go down to Southeast OK and ride K trail?

Yep, seems like I roll down it at least once year. Good Stuff! very KLR appropriate.

Cool pics of a great trip.

We trailered about 1100 round trip but rode almost 2,000 miles in 8+ bike days. Everyday of the odyssey we were looking to accomplish 200 - 300 miles. Weather was great, food was great, camping (and whiskey) was great, riding partners were outstanding and the vistas were over the top (literally).

We need to start planning for the next big ride .
