Mount Airy, North Carolina USA, this afternoon, after a, um, spirited ride down a squirrel-y road: ![]() What a stellar day to be in the wind.

Thanks Dave. They kinda snuck up on me; I was snapping photos like crazy, working the sunrise, and when I finally backed my face away from the camera for a second there they were. It took them several minutes to finally come up to the fence, cautious but extremely curious, I guess, as to what I was doing (and, perhaps, looking for food?) Anyway, I had quite the animated conversation with them as I continued to photograph, and very much enjoyed their company.
Thanks again. :-) |

Good morning. :-)
Life is good. Just back from a three-day ride up in southern Ohio with Reep and JB2. Epic all the way around. Reep strung together an awesome GPS-based route Saturday morning and early afternoon on every little cow path and goat trail he could find in the bottom half of Ohio, and JB2 and I rode a good portion of the Wayne National Forest Saturday evening - first time for either of us - and it was superb. We'll for sure be back. Thanks for checking in. We've ridden a lot of late, but haven't got many photos to show for it. Here are a few from this past weekend.
