Yes, online. I "pre-ordered" it thru Vanns in Montana (they, and everyone else in this country at the time were out of stock). Took almost a month, but I saved some coin by being patient. Got some great pix at Groundhog Mountain on the BRP yesterday of the fog ebbing and flowing over the mountain, just haven't had time to get them loaded onto SmugMug yet.

Agree on the Leica optics = higher price thing, which I don't mind paying a little extra for.

Not sure what they'll look like at full-size yet, but I've shot some hand-held 600-mm (equivalent) zoom shots and the image on the LCD looks crisp. Simply amazing technology in the digi-cams, this coming from an old coot that cut his teeth in the days of acetate and chemicals.

Haji, I ended up with three of these that day. I think I'll use them in the gar'unge for jacket hooks or helmet hooks or some such thing. They were way to cool, whatever they are, to leave them behind!

Man, I've gotten NOWHERE in my research on the park or the bridge. Never got a call back from the docent at the museum in Stuart, either. When ya headed back this way?

It was 65 degrees up here yesterday, sunny, serene, and simply sublime. Today it's been snowing all day, with temps predicted in the teens by the weekend.

The FZ150 is a nice Camera I looked hard at that one and the Cannon SX30is but decided on the S9100 because
of its size and features. I'm still learning how to use it though.
It takes some special people to live out in Tornado ally. We had some pretty bad ones come through this area earlier this year but people out in the mid west really have it bad. I would have to have an underground house to live out there. LOL

Hi MarkNC. I'm just beginning to learn my way around the FZ150. So far I'm very pleased with the investment.

Here are the first pix that I've posted to ADV from this camera. These are from Groundhog Mountain on the Blue Ridge Parkway, February 5th, 2012. It was a cold day, but started out dry. By the time I got to Groundhog the fog was rolling in, and by the time I finished shooting a cold, chilling rain had started to fall. Even with my Gerbings cranked up under my 'Stich I was still cold (not a gear problem, but rather an age problem). I escaped down to the Piedmont and put the rain behind me, although it remained dank and dreary the rest of the day. Still, it was great to get out, and I'm pleased with the photos.
