The Second ride of my bucket list nova scotia

It all started with my buddy Steve having a heart attack and me having beat cancer for the first time. As a Viet Nam vet I have had cancer twice. Two different types, first in 2003 and the second time in 2009. So we both agreed that it was time to stop dreaming and start taking those big rides. Our plan was to limit the trip to two weeks and about 2400 to 3000 miles all on the tar. This trip was to start in East Greenbush,N.Y. and ride to Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. We started planning about a year out and by the time of the ride we had myself,Steve,Bill,Ed and Gerade going. the plan was just to ride and stay where ever we could. This trip was in Aug 2010. We rode to Calais ,Maine and stayed the first night. The next day we rode to St John, New Brunswick and took the ferry to Digby, Nova Scotia. We had 4 harleys and one Bmw on the trip. Here are photos of the ferry crossing.

Leaving PEI and heading to NB

The bridge from PEI was built on shore and placed into the ocean by boat crane. They have a 20 min movie at the weclome center that shows how it was done very interesting.

Hope Well Rocks

We stopped here at Hope Well Rocks national park. Your ticket is good for 24 hrs ,so you get to see both low and high tide.

The tide swing is about 53'

At high tide you can paddle under the rocks

when the tide starts to come an signal is sounded so all people must start leaving the beach then.
