What happened to the BIG 690 thread?

My post count just dissapeared too. It seems the only place I post around here is in the 690 Megathread.....

Maybe Walrus complained about the whining again and the mods just decided to remove all of it.

We recieved a reported post about some recent asshattery in that thread which was punted to Head Explody. It seems we missed a few posts.

So I moved 2 posts to "Crap from Thumpers" here:

http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=722879

and then continued to look through the KTM threadfest in Thumpers after the 2 posts were moved.

Now, the Crap from Thumpers thread is still there, I can still see it in Head Explody but when you click on it it's empty. And the threadfest seems to have disappeared.. I'll keep looking.. Database wonkiness sometimes gives us trouble.. but this very strange..

My post count is down to 1 as well and only maybe 1/2 of my posts were in the mega thread.

The last time I posted, it was in response to Grosbucks post about the 950 fuel pump that someone said was for a fuel injected bike and I said (not verbatim) "if you put ten inline, it might work", then added this

So, was that the asshattery in question? If so, I don't see why we can't have a laugh now and then. I've spoken with Gros Buck a few times and it wasn't meant as a dig but just a giggle. In reality, in my line of work, stacking pumps, does increase their ability to pump, so truthful in a mechanical sense.

Are things getting that rigid in here? Since the thread is gone, maybe a little heads up would be in order, so we can all learn the lesson, especially since the knowledge base has vaporized.

A bunch of folks were banned, him included, I believe.. I was on the road at the time and wasn't paying close attention..

If the master delete key was accidentally activated, there must be an archive from which to resurrect the beast. That thread, as bloated as it may be, is by far the most comprehensive 690 source anywhere on the Internet.

We need it back...

Absolutely!
It was a convoluted wealth of information.... but a wealth that was unsurpassed.

Let's get this thread back on track and get back to the repertoire all but a few couldn't get their heads around.

...and just ignore the detractors that aren't happy anywhere.
