Try side pressure with an impact driver. Anti sieze all your bolts for this reason.

while were on the topic. I am trying to do the throttle stop adjustment for the Vortex install and was wondering how you get the threaded aluminum cover off the top of the adjustment screw.

I was able to work around my bolt without taking it out. It was just a bit of a PITA to get the exhaust hanger bolts off. All this to change the fuel pump. It really isn't a bad job except for the gas that runs out when you pull the pump.

Now my problem is the bike won't fire..... Fuel pump primes but it doesn't fire. The other thing I notices was that all of my instrament panel goes off each time the bike cranks. I'll have to pull the pump again and make sure there are no kinks in the lines and everything looks good.

That is possible but how would I try to diagnose that one? Pull the fuel line up stream from everything and see if it is spitting fuel?

Anybody clean one of these injectors in an ultrasonic?

Spray pattern was sketchy after a CA Cycleworks fuel pump, but I didn't see what it looked like before. 5k miles on the bike. Runs, but cuts out and dies at speed like it's not fueling. Pump runs, lots of fuel upstream all the way to the injector. Replaced QD with the NAPA filter. I'll reinstall it in the AM and see what the pattern looks like. Is it worth carrying a spare on the bike? What's the rate of failure for the injectors?

Any tips for removing that bolt? only has torx45 inside, not a nice convenient bolt I could get a good trip on.
