Thanks for the support !!.... Its much quicker to fit a resistor than wait for a plug-in cheat to arrive in the post and at about 1 to 2 cents for the resistor is just a tad cheaper too. There is an additional advantage that one is eliminating the plug which can be another possible future failure point..... say no morre says Monty Python.

Did we want to use 690rider.com for the wiki? I checked and ktm690.info is available.

HI ALL
well i had my first PITA on the 690 today, having a nice easy ride in mt mee,the 690 stalled with a loud "POP" and a PSHHHHHHH, the sound came from under the air box area,so i had a good look around only to find the rubber boot had came away (see pic) and also the airbox was pushed back towards the battery bike is a 2012,with less than 2000ks with a akro slip on inc akro mapping. 1, so what would make this happen, 2, is there a fix for this, cos i dont want it to happen again (PITA) 3, has there been a recall for this

So, with the added fuel capacity and associated weight, what springs are a good starting point to manage the new weight of the bike?

On dirt it is good. I like that it is a bit soft because the washboard gets smoothed out nicely. I have to be careful when blowing airtime (see pic a few posts above) because i can bottom the forks out. My old bike had .58 from superplush on the way to alaska. I later switched to .56 to soften up the front end. It was a bit to harsh but it also didn't dive under hard breaking. What do I like better? I have gotten quite used to the stock springs and they way they react under breaking and offroad. Thats just my .02$ though.
