Thanks! The collective knowledge of this forum is amazing! But even my 30 minute design look better than those IMHO :P

And now when I've started to think about building my own I think it could be a fun project.

We've installed 2" and just rotated the throttle cables to work.

On my '12, the special screw is 76504038000 and the swingarm bolt is 75304037044. I get all my part numbers from the Munn Racing site: http://www.munnracing.com/#

Cheers,

GAS MILEAGE:
(For those that have just a slipon w/ aftermarket filter)

What was the result of going to an AKRO map? I hear all sorts of things about how it doesn't do anything, to....it ROCKS, to....it hurts gas mileage...to it doesn't hurt gas mileage, just gives more power and response.

So I'd really like to hear from ppl who have actually done it and what they think about it?

Many of the diametrically opposed comments do come from actual users. It's proof positive that you have to vett your source before you use te info they provide. I may have the same exhaust and filter options as racer x, and load the same map, and get entirely different results, becuase I ride really really conservatively.

That said, I haven't done any map loading, so this post is a waste of your time.😳

You can reroute the cable, but rotating the throttle cable assembly on the handle bar is troublesome in long terms. First, there's a purge hole underneath that becomes an "input" hole when you rotate it. Second, and it is far less obvious, there are small kind-of "o-ring" that cleans the throttle cable. When you rotate the assembly on the handle bar, they do not stay in place and eventually jams the throttle cable.
