F'ing ride report for Daytona

After being hounded here it is.
I left home Monday at 3:30.

Rode for while,it started to mist and freeze

got a motel and slept. There weather was friggin cold.
I rode about twelve hours Tuesday to get Geogia by dark. At the halfway point my cell phone died so I went To walmart to get a new charger. The manager in the cell phone department was extremely helpfull. We tried three different charger styles, none worked. He told me of a Radio Shack down the street, so I headed over there. The employees there were real live dicks, no help whatsoever. I persued anyway, got them to lend me a tester. The outlet wrked fine, which i knew because my heated vest and GPS worked off it just fine. I needed to get phone working, I have some houses for sale and was negotiating at that time. So I bought a new outlet from RS. wire it to my battery tender plug (stuck the bare wires into the ends) and everything worked fine. I don't know what was wrong, the other outlets read 13.4 volts and on a ten amp fuse?
Anyway some zip ties and duct tape securing the new wires outside my bike the body work and of I go. (Idid get the house sold!) Another overnight in a motel! Get up ride a while eat at shoneys. I made a bunch of stops. Eventually I got to the Fla. line and it started to rain. Being the snart guy I am I rode in it for a half hour before stopping to don my rain suit.

It rained pretty hard for the next four hours till I arrived at my freinds house in Fort Meyers. Put all my stuff in the dryer and had a beer and some bench racing.
Next morning up and at em. Breakfast at Dennys with pals, then hit the road about 8:30. I had to stop a number of times for work calls, that sucked but at least i can handle work from the road.
I stopped at an alligator farm for a break.

saw some beautifull scenery going through the mountains of Tennesee and Kentucky

Arrived at Krautbikemans place around 2:00. Met a bunch of ADV riders. ate ,drank was merry.
Sleeping at night was colder than a dogs turd on ice. It was around 35 at night, and only my brought light gear sleeping bag, rated for 50 degrees. Shut up I know it was colder at the winter ride.
Daytona was a zoo with all kinds of strange critters

Friday we went on the dual sport ride led by Krautbikeman
The trails were fast and fun and scenic

I saw lots of Harley broke down or crashed, this one t-boned a car!

Rode some beautifull streets

Did some repairs to my bike, naca style ducts in the windsheild, smoothed the ride out perfectly.

Others tried but the drill died

Sorry KVFalcon, I used all the juice.

I added some Givi bags and an Airhawk seat cushion for the ride home.

Rode home straight through, except for a half hour nap at a rest stop in Atlanta Georgia (tempting the killer thats on the run). Rode till 1:30 am. and I started to halucinate, so I pulled into another motel (sorry Motojoe, I'm only half the man you are!)asked for a wake up call at 4:30, woke up at 4:15, out the door by 4:30 ride straight home. i stopped every 100 miles to gas up and stretch (I need gas at 200 miles but needed to stay fresh) Made it home in 24 hours including 4 hours sleep time and gas every 100. Totalm ride home 1'250 miles, Trip total= 3,000 miles give or take 10 miles either way.
Now stop bugging me for a report

Nice to meet you, also...

Don't feel bad about your road riding... $20 says you could kick my ass offroad on that 950, even if I was on my Sherpa.
