I rode thru after you guys today. Looks like 602 didn't get the quad-slashie stickers up.

Man!! Jeff ,Killpecker is getting tore up by quadtards !!!

I even had one with his quad in the back of a pickup stop us just as we came out of 517 and ask if we knew about this great trail just off to the right !!!

All of the trees that have been cleared near the top have been done in such away that you could damn near drive a pickup through there . I know that wasn't you guys cause you do them in such a way it restricts quad travel but it almost looks like someone has gone down there with a saw and opened things right up .

Nice work! It would appear that 2 people is about the perfect size group for making time on this run.

Thump don't lets us hold it for another year , weather is still good and the track is dry !

We didn't stop once on the way out except for gas at Rustic , a few stops crept in on the way back for some strange reason .

Rowdy was in perfect condition but if you don't hit some of those obstacles dead right it ends up a mess and we missed a couple .

The Sherco and the DR350 ran faultlessly .

I think I want another go at it yet this year .

Hmmm.. might be possible for this coming weekend if I'm not stuck doing construction on the house. That would be my last chance for several weeks. 9/30 weekend is booked and 10/6 is reserved for making a fool of myself at EnduroX.

Good work Mark!
I just can't seem to find the time for an entire day either. . . . Rode Kelly to 7mile and then up Swamp Creek/Killpecker and back with 2 of the shop guys the other week - but couldn't join you, or them for a There and Back run!

The saw work was the USFS (actually, they contracted out the CO Youth Corp to do a god bit of it).
I 'spose they need to know that a ST only structure needs to be installed at a few of the road-crossings, and at the end.

Jeff, can you get some signs from the FS that we could install? And then maybe rearrange some of the felled timber to choke off the TH's and road-crossings?
Let me know how I can help. . . . The last thing we need up there are the quads to eat up what little ST we have!

I gave the new stickers to 602 to install. I think he left the country.

Yes, barricades are the best solution.

I knew all the tree cutting wasn't the work of users. They had one helluva chain saw. They were cutting 2'+ diameter logs into short sections. Not sure why they felt the need to cut all of the logs near the trail into short pieces. Very bizarre.

602. . . Calling 602 to the green Forest Service phone. . . .

"This is the United States calling, are we reaching?"
