I haven"t failed getting gas at Rustic yet but if you wanna check Jeff that would be good.
REally, 98miles? Seems longer than that for some reason.

If we have excess daylight, we should ride Kelly Flats to cut out most of the highway 14 pavement.
I like the idea Jeff but although Kelly Flats is an easy ride it still requires some concentration. I do remember the slab back down from Rustic being a time of rest after doing the Swamp Creek, Killpecker over and back and preping for going up Rowdy , which always just kicks my ass!!

I thought about throwing Heartattack Hill and Kelly in the original but knowing most of the guys that ride this ride would do the Main hill and not the bypass i thought better of it .
I have seen a shitload of time lost with bikes getting fucked up on that damm hill!

Guess we just leave it up to the group to decide?

No Mate I'm heading out this afternoon to clear them all and make sure my rear tank will stay together with the JB weld and velcro I have fixed it with.

Might just bounce my way up and back on Swamp Creek and Killpecker .

Throw in one or two zip-ties and you'll be golden.

Looking forward to it (quite the group building up!). . . sans all those rocks of course

Oops, I may be out. Looks like another out and back of larger scale is coming together. Been in the works all since spring, so have to jump on the chance.

I want to do this with you guys, but may have to settle for another weekend.

Trust me, the thought has crossed my mind!! I am perfectly fine so long as I don't have to lift my hand above my shoulder.

We're not in school here. You don't have to raise your hand to take a potty break. You should have no problem

Ride looks cool.
I'm in.
We have a group of 3 and hope we can keep up....
Looks to me like Kelly Flats to Seven Mile would be a good linkup?
Any reason to do it on pavement?

Isaac

Gas Mileage
Carnage = time spent picking up/fixing bikes
It's not a MOAR
The route is tough enough

Then, the OP said:

But, hey! Do what you want!

The Out-N-Back is however you want to do it

Not if you want to challenge the posted time! The highway section isn't 'fun' but it is a chance to rest on the way back for the uphill treck of the Rowdy Section. Adding Kelly Flats would be fun, but remember this is a challenge to beat the existing time and you need to submit a GPS route with verifiable tracks and times!
