special thanks to Ittay, Ersin, Lior, Danny and the rest of the guys who stayed talked with 911 until i was evacuated and thanks for visiting me at the hospital yesterday. I must say - the Spot worked spotless!!, the chopper came in less than 15 min and the crew starting with the ranger, paramedics, doctors etc. were Amazing!!! I had a punctured lung from a broken rib, it seems I fell on good size rock which penetrated the protection so three ribs broke and on of them punctured a small hole in the lung. The air created pressure and the lung collapsed. so... they inserted a tube to release the pressure. Liver, kidneys, and the rest of the vital organs are fine and i can truly say I've got lucky. five minutes ago they pulled the tube out of my lung and I will leave the hospital tomorrow, according to the doctors its fully recoverable. i must mention it again as I was so impressed with the speed and professional care of the medical crew, hope non of you will never need to experience that.

THANK YOU ALL
Ami, Speedy Recovery!!!!!!!!!

Oh yeah, I remember Itay from KM. He and Lior were helping me try and fix my left pannier latch. We were comparing notes on GS/GSA's.

I guess it was Ami who cut his ride short but I'm wondering how those tires performed. I've seen some amazing riding off road on even the Metzeler Tourances but I'm not sure I'd want to try that. I may get another set of the TKC 80's or the new Heidenau K60 Scouts.

I wanted to go but I was really beat with jet lag from my trip so I just did that 4 hour CNF ride locally. Plus, I had a special someone who missed me too (not the dog). She likes riding too!

friday 4:30 pm, paul and i are packed and ready to roll.

small bikes and full size truck.....i'm getting duneratized.....

made it to crab flats @ 9:30pm. thanks to rob for securing the perfect campsite; thanks again to rob and paul for bringing plenty of firewood....

after we went to bed and hours later, 3 PPs rolled into the campground around 2AM, and pulled their bikes and set up their tents next to me....

other than the pestering PPs, it was a very nice campground

luv2race brought his new sweet ride

tex also rode his new dakar....

the plan was the l.arrowhead crew will stop at the camp to pick us up (never did). good thing, i rallied the PPs and ride on without them......

let's ride!

tex, that helmet has to go....

just as we were leaving camp, eric (biggie) showed up and led us to the rest of the guys at big pines. you're awesome eric!

more later, our internet connection here at work is very slow.......

there are probably 5 or 6 SE on this ride

kuya pat, the shoei looks too big on you.....

the haski twins assured me that everyone was accounted; 1 rider crashed but he's not too far behind and coming

my fault, i left my post and rode at the end of van dusen where i waited, and waited. the remaining riders never showed up. i rode back to the last whereabout of the rider who crashed and didn't find them.

i care, so i spent about an hour in total looking for the missing riders....

had enough, so i went to circle K gas station, and no one there either. saw eric and john on baldwin lake road looking for the rest of the PPs. meanwhile, i rode to the trail head and no one else just me.....

anyway, by then, i don't care anymore...

what a relief to see the haski boys and they picked up a rider who was looking for us. i was glad we were there for this rider who sincerely needs company.

i noticed the bald rear tire right away....

on our way to pioneer town

started from the pines and to here; it is beautiful just in a different way

noticed the for sale signs

the group was able to pick up scorpion along the way

The girl in the red top gave my shivers.

On the other hand, I don't think I did a damned thing for her.

Based on previous responses from Heidi I'm pretty sure the answer is no, and then a hurt arm.
