No. VA DS ride Sunday 3/20

I'm thinking of running one of my DS routes on Sunday which consist of a mix of about 45% backroads, 45% gravel and 10% hardcore (taskers/peters mill).

Before someone chimes in that they rode peters mill on a unicycle/sportbike/cruiser several years ago after it had been recently groomed but not since harsh weather and hurricanes in the last several years just stfu.

If you would like to ride along but do not want to do the peters mill section you could go through Fort Valley and meet the others at Woodstock Tower overlook.

Dave has done the first section and Omar has done the last section of this route and I think they would agree that this is a pretty decent route. I will most likely take the DRZ just because it is feeling neglected but I may change my mind and scrub in the fresh meat I installed on the KTM.

Omar, Dave, Barry or others let me know if you want to ride.

Keith - I may trailer the KTM to your place, I assume that is where you will be starting the ride...?

What time are you pushing off...?

The route starts on Browntown road so yes the ride meets at my place. I am thinking folks should show up at 9:30ish and leave NLT 10 -10:15.

The forcast I have seen is rain Saturday with possible flurries Sunday with no expected accumulation. Even if it pisses rain Saturday the only section that would suck is the Peters mill section which we could edit out if that is what the majority wants.

I'm in Front Royal and this route would be a piece of cake but lots of fun with the POSSIBLE exception of Peters Mill which you could go around through Fort Valley and meet us at Woodstock tower. I wil send you a PM with my contact info. Looking forward to riding with you if you are available.

It has been several months since I have ridden this route so my memory is a little blurred but the entire route should take about 6-7 hours if I recall correctly.

I will send you a PM today.

Just make sure y'all have current registration and the like if you ride any of the forest roads around Taskers. I was up there last weekend and the Ranger gave me a rather stern look as I passed (which I'm sure had nothing to do with me standing on the pegs, mildly roosting 'round the corner . . . ).
