I feel your pain. If you are not in a serious hurry have a good look at Motorworks web site, if you can't locate wanted item they are very efficient on the phone. If bmw here in aus have to import from the factory due to nil stock here, Motorworks will have it here quicker. I'm currently working up a list of long term spares for my bike that it will likely need in it's second 100,000klms, going this route saves a packet whilst our dollar is riding so high. But back to your question, i still rate $37 five years ago for a fuel filter a tad rich, and $400 for stick coils was painful on the day. Earlier this year i cracked a head light and was quoted over $500 for a new item, Motorworks do a new one for way under, but i bought a second hander from them, saved me hundreds.

I foresee a BMW and KTM theme here.

Front Wheel spacer for a BMW F650GS, $100+

I better not join this thread. I think I have an unfair advantage for a runaway win! At $50,500 for the delivered bike, I suspect there's a stupid price for something on my bike!. I even suspect that the $1400 low front guard isn't the most expensive part!
However, if we restrict things to "most outrageous price actually purchased for a single item spare part", then I'd be okay. Every consumable (air filters, oil filters) I've bought has so far been quite reasonable, and the few spares parts to allow for "accidental loss" (axle nuts, levers, etc) have also been quite reasonable.
Cheers
JayBo

Dammit don't say that we just bought the baby jogger city mini, hadn't heard a bad thing about them until now.
