Eating Establishments in British Columbia
As I drive around BC I like to discover some good places to eat or have a beverage. During last week I went up to Campbell River for a ride on the Mohun West FSR with Fishnbiker. He introduced me to some of the finest Cinnamon buns known to man at the Roberts Lake Resort located north of the River City on Hwy 19.
Anybody try some good eating establishments or coffee shops which really stand out while on the road in BC? ![]() Roberts Lake Resort ![]() Fishnbiker ![]() Cinnamon buns were very tasty

Another spot in the same area is in Mount Currie at Western Promises Food. They specialize in shredded meat sandwiches and beef burgers, seemed to be very popular with the locals and a good spot to warm up after doing Duffy Lake Road (Hwy 99).

Rock Creek Hotel
I have driven by this sign so many times outside the Rock Creek Hotel on Hwy 33 I finally got to try one in the Prospector Pub.
![]() ![]() The best thing about the Prospector Pub is right across from it on the other side of the Kettle River is Byman's Bend RV Camping, about a 5 minute walk. ![]() $8.95 what a great deal!

Hungry Herbies in Cache Creek for mouth watering monster burger.
Southside Cafe in Whistler where the beef is never frozen, always fresh. Southside has a nostalgic feeling... like you are in a movie. I like it. |

Dragon Fly Cafe in Salmo
Quote:
I was in Salmo a couple of years ago and went to the Dragon Fly Cafe and had the chicken wrap with Caesar salad. The Caesar sald was excellent, you might want to try it, hopefully the quality and cooks are the same. The Dragon Fly Cafe also has free wireless internet. ![]() ![]() Chicken wrap and Caesar salad

Another Good Caesar
One other spot that has a really good Caesar Salad is in Chase at The Loft. It used to be called Bistro 333 and was used as the lunch stop during the running of the BC Big Trailie 3.
![]() Was called the Bistro 333 - BC Big Trailie 3 ![]() Now called The Loft located off Hwy 1 in Chase
