Yeah, me too.

Brother Cobin and I met up with a couple other Duc riders down the road. Great day.

You might never guess what I was told this thing on '’Rich” is. (Edit: WTF? It’s on Elmendorf!)
If it's true I wouldn’t say what it is it on a public forum.

Always obey the warning signs!

Dropped Tim off & went via Fishhook to Palmer & plucked an apple right off the tree.

Wish I had the view from the picture window on the back of that house.
Needed a real wide angle camera back when I took these three pix.
Left to right...

Knik Glacier back there...

I've known that man in black since far back enough to remember his mom's license plate when we were uh, kids. ELBANI IIRC. I don't see him very often but he's definitely a good guy. Shame he hasn't made D2D yet. In '11 his wife was running in the Mayor's or something similar and he wanted to be there to support her.

Elephant cage, and it's on Elmendorf, not Ft. Rich. 381st/611th Intelligence squadron.

Your right, WTF was I thinkin’. Oh, well, I’m new around here, I only got here 4 & 1/2 years after the base opened & I was pretty young.
Your Wiki link doesn’t really say what I was told the antenna was for though. Maybe the guy got some bad info, I wondered about it when he told me. Sounded kinda fishy to me.

Yep, Chris is a great guy. He's on here now as 2WheelsRBetter and still wants to do D2D.

Here's a shot of his lovely wife Lisa on her Monster heading back into town.

A shot of Corbin.

And one he got of us. Great day. MH

antenna

I spent 2 years working inside that compound. And it is an antenna. Very cool stuff in the central building. I actually think it is pretty much old school stuff now. There were 7 of them around the world but only a few are still in use.

Season is NOT over. I've got a bike you can ride if you REALLY wanna go do Burma. I was thinking of taking Jr. out there in the very near future. Sooooo?

AKA Bull-Ring in Navy-speak. Never worked IN one, but was stationed NEAR a bunch. Even spent a bit of time totin' a rifle "protecting" one. Wasn't sure what my pip-squeek 5.56 was gonna do against anything big enough to take out that size target, but I digress...."Aye-Aye, Sir, THREE BAGS FULL!"

Obviously you and FastLane were staged much farther down the hill/away from the camera. You appear to be "sized" correctly.
That dude on the right .......

different story entirely.
Thanks for joining us.

I'll come to your rescue and give you a ride on the back of my lovely DR. I have a couple of very special t-shirts we could wear: AKCharlie and I modeled them at D2D two summers ago.

Or, you could maybe borrow my other DR, although I don't think it would make your butt look small. Colin even said he kind of likes DRs now.

HOB, Heli, Ace, and FastLane.
Didn't make it over Hatcher.
"Got lost along the way."

That may be the reason I didn't see you at Hatcher Pass. Went around from the Palmer side thinking I may run into you. I was not able to leave Anchorage until about 11:30..

Maybe next time..
