Wicked D2r2

D2R2 = Deerfield Dirt Road Randoneer

Here is a ride in the Berkshires that is 70% dirt roads with 15,000 ft of total climbing. I did this as a bike ride in 9:15 hours. It was brutal. This bicycle ride happens every year in august and is a blast.

Ive done this on my GS as well with 2 friends and it makes for a great ride on mostly dirt. Start in Deerfield Ma. and end there as well. There are many options to bail as you cross rt. 2 a couple of times. I hope this link works, if not I will try a different link in a couple of weeks.

Seems like this forum doesn't get a lot of traffic, but I'd like to check this route out (if I can figure out how to load the dang thing on my GPS). A bunch of my friends did the sufferfest riding it on bicycles, so I'd like to see just how much they suffered.

Anyone interested in making the trip, drop me a PM.

I'd be into riding this sooner than later. I've done the shorter, 60+ mile version on bike and it was a hoot. .. .tough but fun.

I'd like to ride this too. I'm limited to weekends and even on those, I have sketchy availability.

Hey bogboy

Sorry for the delayed response.I've been on vacation in northern VT -- great moto'ing!

Yes, I'd be very interested in doing it soon. I can't this weekend (though Saturday might be a possibility). What do you think of the following weekend?

Hey Guys,

I'd love to do this on Saturday of next weekend (7/28). My GPS has gone to the next life, and I don't have the funds for a replacement just yet, so I'd need the help of some less navigation device challenged folks...

I'm down! I need to flip my flippin rear tire around, which I mounted backwards last weekend (doh!), but should otherwise be good to go.

I may be able to find an app to load the track on my phone...

Josh

Sent from my phone with magic.
