I'm riding that bike quite a bit these days and really loving it.
That was a sweet ride. I lived on top of the Ace High Tavern in downtown Golden in 1994? and rode that bike on a makeshift BMX track over by the highway at least twice a week. Also used it for short interval work on the hills around town.

Jut found this thread! Now that I just moved out to the western slope, I'm psyched to get into some good mtn biking! Well, you know, as soon as it warms up a little more.

Colds not much an issue, wet trails are. I love 40-50 degree days on the bicycle

I totally would, but I've got to be in Longmont for a meeting at 830. Maybe next time.

Nice upgrade, Scott. 29er?, 2x10 and it's even got your name on it. I ordered a Yeti Big Top 29er frameset a couple weeks ago. Should have it in March and will post it up when it's done. Would be interested to hear your take on the XX gruppo.

Yep, been a 29'r naysayer for a while now but I'm ready to make the switch. Are you building this Yeti up for single speed townie, or you just like a hard tail? Hope the knee is healing up well. Spring is just around the corner...

The marketing guys prevailed I guess. Although, I've been on a 29er for a while in the form of a cross bike--if that counts. I still have the Turner Flux though. The Yeti is going to be geared, probably 2x10.

Yeah, the knee is pretty much all healed up here at almost 9 weeks post-surgery. I'm being released from PT tomorrow and have been able to ride for about a month now.

Sold my 2001 Specialized M4 Stumpjumper back in 2005 when I found I just wasn't doing the single-track I once was (used to ride the single-track along Cherry Creek almost daily and Matthews-Winters and Apex a couple times a week). Picked up this Tommaso/Easton road bike and logged some major road miles since.

Then we moved to Golden in July and I got the bug again. I'd always regretted selling my M4 Stumpy (American-made), so went trolling Craigslist... and found this American made 2004 M4 in mint condition!

As soon as this damned winter sinus infection runs its course, I'm gonna start banging single-track again. I've got the Welchester Tree Grant Park as my backyard, so I've got a great mint-trail to do some workout laps and since I'm so close, I'll go pay some tolls on Green Mountain and Matthews-Winters and Apex again.

I've always been a solo rider as most of my friends are couch warmers. I'd be into riding with a few of you reprobates if you're along the front range.

Centennial Cone

New toy - Specialized Epic Carbon 29er - Ended up going with the Specialized over the Scott Spark and loving it. Let's saddle up Pedder!

Great riding yesterday at Centennial Cone with plusone. This is an awesome trail - my first time on it - beautiful scenery, moderate climbing, fast, smooth singletrack, not technical... fun day.

Wheelie Boy setting up...

Doh!

Hey Scott, don't forget to keep me in the mtn bike loop. I have done dirty Bismark loop a couple of times this year.
