Thumb Front page news!

A Ural Gear-Up graces the cover of the October Motorcycle Consumer News! The review didn't mention anything we don't know; they are FUN, attract attention (UDF was mentioned), quirky, do not handle and brake like a motorcycle, and they are FUN.

that is very cool
sidecar rigs are becoming more mainstream all the time

Performance was kinda disappointing though...

Something like 28 horses on the dyno, barely beating out the 250s! 73 MPH top speed and dang near 200 feet to stop from 60MPH (maybe that 73 MPH top speed is a good thing...

Now that new Urals are over $10k, a new $5k KLR/DR/etc. with a $4k new sidecar looks like a better deal.

Yeah, but you end up with basically the same performance, and a new bike with a void warranty. That's kinda taking the long way around the barn.

Sure you can put togather a rig that has more performance for less money, but it isn't a free ride, it takes a lot of time and effort.
