Norwegian Ride 2012 - Movie from my 4000 km ride across Norway on a 1969 Honda CB450

A home brewed documentary from my 4000 km ride across Norway and Sweden this summer on my 1969 Honda CB450 K2. My journey includes a visit at the Classic Honda Club Norway's annual meeting in Seljord. I also visit the summit of the Dalsnibba mountain, ride the Troll's way and the Atlanterhavs way.

Gorgeous ride, gorgeous bike too! thanks for sharing it. I didn't know you could upload a video that long to youtube!

The night riding scenes look fantastic for a point of view camera, which camera are you using?

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it.

My account have according to Youtube a good status so the function to upload longer videos has been enabled. Maybe somebody in management enjoys watching vintage motorcycles.
On this journey I used a GoPro Hero2 mounted in a chest harness. I think it's a very good combination since it catches the exhaust sound very well but blocks out disturbing wind noise.

Nice movie, I liked the ones from 2011 to, when you where in Europe.
The way to Dalsnibba was it gravel or tarmac? I have always missed Dalsnibba, but 2013 on bike I'am totally have to go up there.

The road upp there is tarmac for the first couple of bends, then gravel.

As NorseXL mentions it's a little tarmac at the beginning and at the end of the road up to Dalsnibba but most of it is gravel.

Fantastic ! Thanks so much for sharing this beautiful look at Norway and Sweden on a great bike. Totally enjoyed the last hour of watching this. Loved the music also.

I was trying to find the music by UP THE ROAD and not seeing it on the internet. I'll keep looking.

Great Vid!

Too bad you got a fogy day at Trollstigen, the view is fantastic. Even better is going full throttle up from the bottom of the valley. I didn't even know about the road to Dalsnibba, even riding right past two years in a row. Next year...

Care to share the exact locations of the gravel/greenlane stuff near Værdal? I live in Trondheim, and are always looking for stuff like that.

/D

Wow, this is really a great video. I'm a 3rd generation Norwegian-American now living on Gotland with my Swedish wife. I'm planning a trip to Norway next summer and will try to connect with Norwegian family (doing genealogical research now). So enjoyed getting a bit of a preview of what I can expect. Thanks!
