FYI, I went looking and I just got an update on Brett de Stoop, apart from a couple of grazes and some bruising he is fine. Which is pretty amazing, considering the sheer velocity involved.

Speed week 2015

Hi Team

what an incredible journey this was. thanks to all the contributors, and i am looking forward to giving back more to this forum in the future.

which makes it even more exciting that, now i have graduated, and have more time after finishing final year of uni, i will be going back to Lake Gairdner in 2015, and depending how that goes i am looking at Bonneville 2015.

Ambitious i know, but for those who have seen my other threads will know that treading the line of over-ambitious is where i thrive.

the bike is currently with a bloke up near Broadford VIC called Geoff Morris of Geoff Morris Concepts
http://www.geoffmorrisconcepts.com/

he had a good rep and seemed to know what he was talking about, so he is making a tuned pipe and an alloy tank for me.

other changes i have made since speed week 2013:
forged piston
detonation sensor
ceramic coated internals
flat top head
getting it on a dyno when i get it back from Geoff
lower seat for better aero
tail section to reduce pressure drag

and intending on getting some tools that are specialised such as bore scope, hone, portable wideband, case pressure gauge for two strokes etc.

bearing in mind that i only needed 2kph more to get the australian record, what i have listed above is so that i can at least be competitive at bonneville.

current photo of the bike when i was testing seating positions is attached.

I was wondering if you would pop up in here again, and I'm glad you did. Do you need any help at LG for 2015?

morning, yes its been a while. final year of uni was pretty intense.

if you or any others are out there, I could use some help driving support vehicle around/loading/unloading/moral support/advice when stuff blows up/etc.

Dad advised he is unavailable to go out again so currently i am going solo, and ill be also swapping my RX7 or Husqvarna TE510 for a ute before March. Depending which i am least unhappy about letting go.

I've penciled it into my diary. If you need assistance over there (pit crew, hands, beer), let me know

Sounds good. Its a fun week.
More like ride the bike a few times and admire all the cool machinery the rest of the time.

Good to see the hard work is paying off. I'll still be here in 2015 and '16, Bonneville is on the list, might just have to see you there. Keep me posted on your plans

Chew hard

Jeez that takes me back...... i first came across johnny green when he was part of the three chord wonders with laurie (?) Minson at tamworth about 30 years ago. Johnny and co live in the lower hunter so have seen them many times over the years. His boy hank green is a shit hot guitar player. Cool-o
