Cool beans, sounds like a plan! Ive been through Parachilna and sampled the famous FMG, at 15 i managed to finish the whole lot.

Thankfully i have procured the use of a 2011 Isuzu DMAX to get me and the bike to the lakes.

Hmmmm, well some people will believe anything you tell them, like me in my young adult years. After some googling, Chad, Eritrea, Finland, Botswana, Grenada, Zimbabwe, Bahamas, Barbados and Seychelles all do similar things with their emblems.

That is the ignition curve that comes standard with the HPI ignition unit i ordered. It is already a vast improvement over the standard curve and I have several other curves from other 125 2 strokes which were tuned for racing, which will help me in development.

Hi Charlie. Keep in mind an ignition curve will be for a specific setup, porting, jetting, type of circuit, etc. Some are for top speed, some for acceleration. Melting pistons is easy on a 2 smoker (ask me how I know ). So watch the temp gauge and keep an eye on the mixture when you're on the dyno, and take spare jets and stuff to the lake, a dyno won't quite replicate the conditions but will get you some base settings.
Another thing to think about, our rotten ULP shows a black soot in the pipe (and plug) almost regardless of mixture, which is tricky to read, so have you considered the dual benefits of AVGAS? Higher octane = more power (noticeably more) and also a nice grey to light tan colour for plugs and pipe, easier to read. The unspoken benefit is you can get a permit to buy the stuff for tuning and racing, and if some ends up in your non-cat dirt bike then hey!! lucky you eh.
I'll be there early this year, prolly grading the track if I get there early enough. Post your racing number up and I'll see you out at the racers camp if you stay there eh. cheers.

yep weve got temp sensors and bucket full of jets, and yes, theres a limit to how much you can prepare the numbers, being there willl be a completely different kettle of octopi.

Is avgas part of the 'commercially available fuels' which are legal in the gasoline class? maybe this part of the rule is up for interpretation.

I have just sent off the forms today so i guess i will be getting a racing number soon?

About 40-60c more than ULP, go to you closest small airport, wait till some bloke is fueling up his cessna and swing him some cash!!! Otherwise you need a fuel card, we regularly fill 205L drums for chopper work using a fuel card.....no permit required.
