The seat pan has a nice dish to it that is perfect for holding a tent and my Kermit Camp chair.

Are you really that sensitive? It is, after all, an NC forum. What do you expect?

I think I would have just removed the pillion seat and put it back on when it came time to sell it?

I still have the foam and the vinyl. The hole isn't going to change the comfort of the seat (well, it might improve it). I had removed the seat and made a prototype rack but I didn't like the height it had to be to be level. Also, I like having something covering up the hole left after removing the seat. But, you do what you want with yours. I'm not trying to sway anyone's opinion just telling folks what I've done. For my needs it works for now.

I will try to post pics this weekend.

It's all good. Somewhere in here it sounds like a business opportunity for somebody.

I think you are correct.

Here is a picture of my prototype just to see if it could be done. Made from light aluminum and a cutting board.

Here it is fully loaded. I took a 400 mile trip and the rack worked fine but long term it wouldn't hold up. If someone could weld up a rack with a more robust mounting system it would be great.

Rowdy,
That is a $20 Coleman ATV seat cover from WallyWorld that has been cut to size. It helps a bunch and it has two straps under the seat so it doesn't move a bit.

I've made a few changes to my 2012 silver NC. I Plasti Dipped the silver to make it red and sprayed the light bar with satin black.

Here is a close-up of the pillion seat pan used as a rack.

The seat pan has a dish to it which cradles my tent and Kermit chair very well while still allowing access to the fuel filler without taking those two things off of the seat. Not for everyone but it works for me.

Wow, totally awesome! Thanks for the pics, I guess those tires worked out. Seen any bears, I'd have to have a shotty with me, those things spook me.

That's awesome...never thought about plasti-dipping! I really like that red that you ended up with.
