This day we tried to reach Idilevo.....but we came only to Karlovo





Nothing special today....we started at awesome landscapes in the mountains....ride over highways with a lot of traffic and exhaust gas....passed some ugly big cities....and in Karlovo late at evening i didnt like to ride anymore this day...enough is enough!


The good thing is we found a very nice place to stay











End of that day

At the next morning we left Karlovo...better we forget the day before...and dive into this

We had to ride up of the Troyan pass.....










































O look...a monument...we found a way...so we ride to the monument

We arrived...but...nobody at home

In front of the house i found a sign with some mobilenumbers on it.....so i called ....and talked with Ivo. He said he will be there in 20minutes we should wait!

And then...20minutes later...Ivo came

Nobody else was there...so we where alone in this camp!






the most significant thing was here...the BAR!





Mr Lenin was also here for vacations





conquered our room















a half hour later...2 polish riders arrived on their AfricaTwins...they also heard from that camp...cool...we where not soooo alone anymore


we spent a very nice evening together...talked gasoline....had some beer....bbq...and late at night we fell in our beds

After a really good night and a good breakfast, the 2 polish guys prepared for leaving home to poland.

Little traffic jam at the romanian border....but the borderpatrol gave us a sign to drive through...no passport...no waiting.





this was the reason for the traffic jam...they work on the bridge and only one lane is in use...so we had to wait 20min...time for a bulgarian cigarrette....under the sun with 40grad








crossed the Donau river







when we arrived the middle of the bridge...we arrived in romania








The romanian border...nothing is going on there.





and now...direction Bukarest...not very nice...but special and interesting.








the first churches appeared















In Bukarest we wanted to have alook to Ceausescus little gardenhouse





here it comes...the little gardenhouse.....





not bad.....




















Bukarest...not bad! A very modern an very nice city! Absolulutely western oriented!

Ceausescus gardenhouse....this the world 2nd largest government building.
Ceausescu tried to make the same like Hitler tried to do with his Berlin...but Mr. Ceausescu had more luck with it....while the romanian people had to live in poorness!

And 1989 the romanian people said thank you for nothing to Mr. Ceausescu and shoot him to death in the revolution

Sometimes.....not only the godd people die

After little sightseeing we headed direction Buzau....






lets get out of Bukarest....

From Buzau (nothing special there...(big grey painted city) we wanted to ride to Berca to have alook to the mudvulcans....





on the road to the vulcans we found a very nice monastry and decided to have a look....and picked up our blessings for that day...will not hope to need the...but its good to have them with you ....

and AMEN.....

then we arrived Berca...had a little walk for 15 minutes...and the we arrived the moon....








This buddies are activ...they are bubbeling...fizzling...smoking!

No humans here...except us two

and yes...it rains...for the rest of that day....but no reason to worry...this was the first rain we saw since the last 3 weeks

Yes Doug i know that you where riding at that time...and as you can see...Ivo took care of us......but your camp is not easy to find.....some gypsys explained us the way! and in that village where your camp is...i missed the sign in front of the house and so i had a little offroad

After all that mudstuff we rode to Bicaz where we wanted to ride trough the Bicaz gorge.










a lot of shitstuff sellers....









where i bought s sheepskin to lay it down on my seat...i had a little asspain

Then we arrived the Bicaz gorge....

















We thought it would be better and longer...but after 2 minutes....we went through


The road went to the Lacu Rosu (red lake)...but he wasnt red

The landscape was very nice...the mainthing on a trip like this.

BBQ! After some Mititei (Cevapcici) i felt lucky again





and now lets ride to Sighisoara (Schäßburg)....our destination today!

the way from the motel to the medieval city center 5 min of walking












no tourists...no travelbusses.....





Thats the birthhouse of Dracula! A bar today








In this house lived between the years from 1431 - 1435 the monarch of the romanian country Vlad Tepes, son of Mircea the older

Next morning we left wonderfull Sighisoara and hit the road to Brasov (Kronstadt)


















went to a castle and had a look to Brasov from above...














































We didnt find the right way to the Dracula-tourist-fake castle in Bran...so we asked this guys....

When we arrived Bran after a really nice ride...we saw so much damn cars and busses and people there....so we ride through that village...turned at the end back...and left
