My tank had some separation occur in that spot. Not saying that's the case with yours. Dealer said it was a known issue with the bike and replaced the tank.

Happy Holidays everyone!
I got some cool stuff for Xmas. Moose Racing Fender Pack and an Waterproof Deck Bag that i used as a tail bag. only cost $26 from REI! But it has so much room and looks great for so cheap! ![]() ![]() ![]() Also, looks like im going to have the money to buy ether a new set of headers or a muffler. What do you guys think i should buy first? |

With all those offroad oriented accessories, and you still have those tires... You'd get a lot of performance out of a set of TKCs, K60s or Kenda Big Blocks. Just sayin. But I'd definitely go for a new can first over the headers. Aftermarket muffler would be cheaper as well as offering a greater weight savings than headers. Put headers last on your list, after pretty much everything else you want to do...

http://advrider.com/forums/attachmen...1&d=1306111321 So im worried the longer i wait the more chance i have a chance of f*#king up the valves because the extra heat and back pressure. i would rather spend $500 on headers than 3k on a valve rebuild. my pipes are a dark brown with some rainbow color, and my buddies bike is still that nice gold color. we ride the same trails and have had our bikes for almost the same time. |

Headers on this bike are a waste of money. The only savings you get is removing the CAT. You can do that by finding anyone at a good motorcycle shop that can weld and cut the CAT off and put in a straight pipe.
The cat on these bikes doesn't weight much and is pretty efficient. Just get a new can and call it good. I have the Leo Vince and am VERY happy with it. |

this is what it looked like right after the impact: see how nice and gold it is. ![]() this is what it looks like now. ![]() ![]() and this is what really worries me. see how the pipes are almost black? they arent smooth anymore. it is really starting to worry me. cause i know that it takes alot of heat to make that metal change color like that in such a short time.

Man, you really gave that a thump, how's the fillings in your teeth?
You definitly have a case for a set of headers. Having said that, all the OME headers seem to go that colour after a while. I have the Arrow headers, the bike seems to be more "zippy" with them as against stock, but that could be my imagination,
