Thanks for your advice JRR, will try to keep on track. I love a good thunder storm to get the adrenaline going but this one got my sphincter moving.

6th November works for me, any on else with sugestions ?

no, its on the main drag opposite the drive thru at Heywoods hotel (and also kinda opposite the newsagent...)

Nelson pub always a great spot for a catch up and Surrey Ridge (near Fish holes) a nice spot for an overnighter.

Keen to see what dates are settled on.

I was thinking of suggesting one camp in November at Bailey's Rocks near Dergholm and another in January near the coast for more moderate temperatures in January. Obviously we won't be able to get the ideal date when everyone can attend , because of shifts and prior social engagements pre X-mas.

Agreed on the date issue......let's just make dates and if you can be there so be it.

While I would like to take part in everything, I also have other things that occupy my 'free' time so I will be there if I can.

I am hoping more for people with similar interests who wish to have company riding on longer trips, i.e. the upcoming Poon/Top Hut trip in a couple of weeks.

OK lets try to see how many can attend an overnighter at Baileys rocks on November 19-20th. Either camp overnight or just call in if you can't stay. Pizza dinner at the pub just down the road, unless you want to cook. Aim at arriving mid afternoon so riders can enjoy the trip. A prize will be given for the muddiest bike. A dead certainty for the Southerners( shit weather for weeks)!

We need to work out a system about who gets to choose the next camp site. e.g. the rider who rode the furtherest distance to Baileys Rocks or similar.

Sorry gents but prior committments that weekend. Have a great weekend as always good fun over there at 'The Pub in the Scrub'.

Look forward to the camping suggestion in January and hope the weather is on our side.

Same here, N/S that weekend but hey need to pay the bills & bikes. Hope its a good weekend and will be looking forward to January campover on the coast.

While I'm here, going for a ride down to Nelson this weekend, PM me if interested @ havin a shandy at the pub.

I have N/S Saturday also and can't be guaranteed a restful night...I would have been up for a ride this weekend but travelling to other side of Melb for State Titles archery shoot.

Is anyone interested in travelling up to Cameron's Corner in December for a quick trip......not suggesting try the longest day ride as such but a couple of days to watch the nutters who do.

Tentative plans at this stage are a departure on 20/12 with a big 1st day to arrive at the corner PM of 21/12. Haven't even got a route mapped yet but don't want to do a highway blast.

Look at being home either evening of 23/12 or stretch it out to 24/12.........

We pretty well have a track up the back way to yunta if that helps with the planning?

Am also keen for a local ride to catch up with some people.
My dates are flexible as long as it's a free weekend

Any route ideas would be great and it would be good to have riding buddies...

...stay in touch if those dates suit!!

Other than weekend rides.....is anyone available for the occasional weekday ride?......surely there are a few other shift workers in the GT region who might like some mid-week ride therapy
