Cheese Country Trail Ride

I had set the alarm for 4:00 am so that I could get an early start for a ride to Monroe, Wisconsin and the start of a ride on the Cheese Country Trail.
I think the Cheese Country Trail would be a easy ride on a ATV or dirt bike but there would be enough bumps, dips and loose gravel to keep my 850 pound Victory Vision busy!

I left home at 4:45 am and it's about a 100 mile ride to Monroe. The ride doesn't start well, there's dense fog for the first 40 miles. I should be going 70 mph but I'm going 50 and even that is pushing it.

The weather is improving -

In Monroe I bought a trail sticker and headed to the start.

I started a little after 7:00 am on Friday morning. It was a good time and day to do this, there were only a few ATV's on the trail. The weather is perfect, dry and a little cool. Mid 50's at the start.

The route. My Spot Tracker map. Starts in Monroe and ends in Mineral Point, WI.

Trail speed limits were 10 to 30 mph.
Speed limit near town -

The trail is very scenic -

The front dual sport tire helps a lot!

There are 57 bridges along the 47 mile trail -

Bumps and Bridges -

Some areas are flat and others have a lot of bumps and dips -

It's a good thing I have dual sport floorboards!!

In some areas the trial goes through farm fields.

I only saw a few ATV's on the trail -

What? .....Yes, it's a Victory Vision.

For me the last bridge and up ahead is Mineral Point -

I really enjoyed my time on the Cheese Country Trail. Very fun and scenic ride!!

Time to fuel up and start the ride home. About 130 miles from Mineral Point. I was home by 1:30 pm. A nice morning ride!!

There were only a few ATV's on the trail but the riders did seem to be a little surprised to see the Vision riding by.
