Liked the video, where was this lookout at? Do they just let anyone in those things?

I've used this one a few times; it's still $45 a night, sleeps five, and once the snow's gone has some great day-loop possibilities no matter the direction, or what kind of tires you've got. The propane fridge is big enough for a keg, and it makes ice in a hurry.

Mo pics.

Here is where this one is:

There are 3 in this area that they rent. Little Mt. Hoffman, Gerard Peak, and Hirz Mtn. We visited another lookout the next day that was in service and the guy who ran it said he lets people tent camp while he's there. Most tower lookout employees like visitors.

Here was our route last weekend.

Working on another video of day 2.

Forest service has lots of places to rent. My favorite is by Mesa Verde called Jersey Jims fire tower. Kind of an underutilized resource. Thanks for the heads up!!

Wow...

Sweet place to stay. I'm new in the area and haven't had enough time to get out and explore. I'm in Montague. I'm tied up with work right now and I will not be back until December. Guess it will be too cold by then to get out and about on the bike. But.....when spring time comes around it will definitely be on then. Maybe I can hook up with you guys when yall are in the area.
