No and afraid not. Letters from customers work best.

And that is all I can say on the subject. Trade secrets and all that.

+1. Nav IV w/o an input for the XM radio antenna is a deal killer for me.

I'm testing riding a WC GS this next Wed and if I decide to upgrade and go with the Premium pkg w/GPS prep I might get a Garmin 665, sell my Zumo 550 and transfer my XM antenna over to it. If that would work, that is.

No idea about XM compatability.

As Sirius haven't seen fit to point one of their XM satellites at Europe, I cant say I'm overly worried either way.

I think I read up above that the GPS prep controls may NOT control all the functions (like zoom) on the 665, only on the BMW Nav unit.....or I could be talking out of my arse.

That's true. The XM radio option though is more important to me than handlebar controls of the GPS, etc...

One thing that amazed me about the 665 is the warning that appeared on the screen about possible rain ahead. Nice. Had me looking for alternate routes.

The new unit can't be that different from IV/ Zumo 660 because it should fit in the panel of K1600 bikes.
Andylaser, do you really work for Garmin? Are you one of those responsible the sad state of Zumo hardware and/or software?

I had heard the story of why they previously disabled the XM features of the NAV unit and that was because they had a contract with Sirius in the automotive segment that prevented them from offering XM, but now that Sirius and XM have merged I would think its a non issue. Makes you wonder if anyone in BMW even asked the question....
