Some vehicles will connect via Bluetooth to the Nav V; some do not. The BMW auto cradle not only provides a speaker, but also changes from mc mode to car mode.

Screen Protectors

I think the NuShield folks have it sorted out now on their website. They have the correct sizing and they are listed under BMW, Navigator V 2013. You get two protectors in a package which makes the price pretty reasonable.

BMW's BT helmet system with NAV V on a GSW allows MP3 an directins volume control through the GS "wheel".

Can anyone please inform if there is any other BT system where the GS's "wheel" also controls listening level ?

Thanks,

Andre

As was previously noted the Vikuiti 3M ARMR220 for BMW Navigator V does fit (107mmx65mm) and can be acquired either at an Amazon.com seller or Protectionfilms24.com.
Installed the Vikuiti DQCM30 today.....size is correct, but the install wasn't as easy as it should have been. Of course this is about me not the protector. Not sure I can live with the final result.

I am not sure if any other systems do allow volume control via wheel . I cannot do this, nor do I want to, with my Senna. I have looked at all the BT headsets and IMO the Senna is the best unit. Very simple ti adjust volume by quick turn of one large dial ?

So, did we work out how to blank the screen when riding?

Sometimes I just don't want the screen on, cheers.

Thanks a lot friends!!!
iPhone 5s with 7.1 pairs just fine with my Nav V. No issues but I did have to disable search for BT devices in the Nav. Music playback paused randomly if find new devices was on.

Screen Protection

Oversized screen protectors (for the 760) on the big auction site ... 3 for $7.98 shipped. Cut them to fit - works great!

My Nushield's arrived a few days ago, haven't even looked at them yet, but will to see how they fit. AFter the Vikuiti has dried they are OK. A little dark in the sun but I can see the Nav V it is matte finish and it has a slight tint.

New version of Garmin Express 3.0.12.0 is available, couldn't even begin to tell you what fix's, features or updates it incorporates.

BMW Navigator V on GSW

Before you had 2 navigation options; fastest route and shortest route. Version 2.60 has added the functionality of curvy route. You put in your destination and it gives you a couple of options with the curviest roads. I have found it at minimum doubles the transit time. Sometimes 3-4x longer!

Probably wouldn't do much for the Midwesterners but out here in CA living near all the good roads lets just say it takes awhile to calculate the route sometimes
