this is a post from Mike's Ghost...
...the anticipation of a new post... ...killed him. (something, something, rhymes with post)...

I am supposed to pick up the tank, fender, and cowl tomorrow. I was going to yesterday, but he found a run in the clear coat on the cowl that he wanted to sand and buff out. He had lots of problems with the cowl fiberglass bubbling when he heated it to get the paint to adhere better. The tank and stock BMW fender did nothing, but the cheap aftermarket fiberglass was a nightmare for him.
Pics to come. I hope. I have been at this stage toooo long!!!

Finally picked up painted parts!
All parts are in my possession now. Just have to get her home and install the new seat for the bike to be finished. I started her up at my friend's place with the intention of driving it home, but decided another maiden 30 mile voyage at 9 pm wasn't a good idea.

Wow man, they came out beautifully. Really gorgeous. Do you have roundels for the tank and the tail section?

"When I got my frame back from powdercoat, there was nothing in the holes on the steering stock. I am pretty sure it was just two little bumps before I gave it to them. What goes in there, screw or some kind of rubber plug??"

They have push in plastic plugs to keep the dirt out.
