Barra, looks like we might camp at Bowen River pub Friday night, we will go through Mt Coolon Saturday morning, 10 o'clock heart starter at the milk bar.

Been watching this expedition develop. Now that the dust is settling on the planning, any objections to a socially incapable misfit on some dodgy european hardware tagging along for the Friday night/Saturday bit?

Some more questions which will make me stand out as a non local:
1. Is the Bowen River Pub in Collinsville?
2. Are you booking rooms or camping out the back, do I need to ring the pub and reserve a barstool, or just bring me tent?
3. I think the ramblings mentioned travelling Bowen River Pub, Mt Coolon, Clermont, Springsure. Is this still the intended root?

My vague scratched in the dirt plan might involve leaving Moron Bar mid Friday Arv towards Collinsville, then depart the expedition around Clermont on the Saturday.
Have fuel range of about 300ks, don't drink before beakfast.

Obj,spoke to jonno,looking at meeting in clermont,up through golden downs ,talki,avon downs and out to the dev road. Then ,time permitting twin hills,moray downs and bulliwallah to belyando. How much range we gonna need from belyando to the dam and back to collinvlle.

Instead of slabbing it up the towers road to get to talki you have several options, come up the Ken Logan road which runs right past home, turn left at mT Maclaren grain depot, then across to the kilcummin T junction you can go right there & travel up the coolan road abit & turn left at dooruna & across to talki & avon.
Or left at Kilcummin T junction then right onto golden downs road & up to talki, avon etc.

I thought that was the way we were going back to Clermont on Saturday, Charles are you planning on doing the same route twice in 2 days? Have you been on the vino again That other way i gave you is only 275k's from Clermont to Belyando +75 to Dysart. 350 all up hardly a hardcore expedition, you will be there well and truly by lunch. Then 250 after lunch to Bowen river via the dam, i'll be necking my first pot at 4pm sharp on the left hand bar stool near the door.
