Well, so the news I was hoping would never come have arrived, they are shutting down the branch I work at. That means I had to stop all racing efforts, at least for the moment, until I figure out what exactly is in my future.

I want to thank everyone for following this thread, for pumping me full of energy, and of course the sponsors, who have helped me so much. Here's to hoping for a bright future

Hey Miquez,

You mentioned that you're an engineer and an aviator. Come on out to Sacramento because my company is hiring like gangbusters and we build unmanned arial targets. Then you'll be that much closer to the good desert riding and your dream can be a reality again. PM if interested.

Thank you for the tip Tom, I'd love to do something like that. I am working to try and stay with the company I work(ed) for, for many reasons. It would involve a move for sure, but I'm willing, so let's see how it pans out.
