See you there, Henry. Bring whatever bike you want and just choose the ride appropriately. I'm going to be doing some scouting soon in the area to see if I can put together a good route that includes some technical sections. Last year, the dirty few only made it 9 miles out and 9 miles back in 5 hours thanks to Irene's landscaping efforts.

My wife sent me in the direction of this thread (gotta love her for that one

) the day after I got back from a solo overnighter in the adirondacks on my XL600R. I'm pretty sure I'm in, and depending on how it works out, I may have another dude in as well. Got some questions though: says "paid" in the column in post #1.. but I can't figure out what the fees are (shouldn't be a problem, just curious). Riding on all 3-4 days, and how close is a gas station? TW has a crap tank range. XL is all clarke'd up.

I'll have the other dude post on his own if he's going.

Trying to figure out which bike to bring: my TW200 or my XL600R.. both would be a blast, it looks like there is a really wide variety of machines that have run in the past. Perhaps I'll just pick whichever one is more likely to get there and back when it comes time to head for VT

Okay, if you plan something similar to where I took you, then the little bike, otherwise, the bigger one. I don't have your body advantage to wrestle the 650 around like a toy

I'll let you know about the route when I have a chance to go spend a few days exploring. AS for heading to NH. . . Hopefully soon. The KLR needs new steering stem bearings and the KTM needs a oil weep at the rocker cover fixed. Once I get one of them running, I'll be jumping that border!
