Yeah those BMW's look promising in practice, but over a race distance?... Hopefully, the tire life problem is where the progress surfaces.

![]() Superglue is back in WSS? I guess that is good and bad. It seems to be the only series where he can be a consistent threat, but he sure isn't going to get many more invites to move up with his history of implosions (WSBK, Moto2). |

I sure hope he can pull it off. That would be a serious display of grit and determination on his part.

As expected, Metcher and Day have resumed the contest. Both well down the field, but generally on about the same pace....Go the Jed!

How much of a factor could he possibly be? Physical ability and pain likely to keep him from 10/10ths, which is what it takes to match the front runners. Then add the bike he's riding and ........

I am guessing even hurt he has to be good for a top ten finish, valuable points. I don't need to point out that at the end of the season it only takes 1 point to lose the championship. It also should be a huge boost for the team knowing that their rider is giving his all when most would be on a plane home. I hope he makes it out.

I'll be willing Sykes on. Don't really know him, or a fan, but he IS on a Kawasaki and it has been WAY too long since they were at the front!

Overall, I thought the first round made for some exciting racing this afternoon. Checa's highside in the first race was epic! I still can't beleive after that he came back to win the second race. Biaggi was insanely fast. He obviously hasn't lost a step. I'm still a bit surprised FIM is handicapping the 1098R with an extra 6 kilos of weight over the 4 cylinder machines. The Aprilia was hitting 325 kilometers per hour in the straights. If anything should be handicapped it's that thing. What a beast! Also, good to see Milandri and Sykes turning in competitive performances for BMW and Kawasaki, repectively.
