Horsepower rating of 22.8 hp? That's less than the release tune in the UK (25 hp) which was subsequently raised at the factory to 30 hp due to complaints and low sales. The 350 EXC is street legal in all 50 states and makes 43 hp. What gives?

I think the price alone will make him pass out.

Not to worry; I'm getting two.

The EPA certification web site shows off-road certification only. KTM may try for street-legal later... ???

Why two ?, I think they make a reliable bike , no need for spares .

Lets hope so. At first blush it appears that it pollutes less than its street legal 350 brethren. Seems like a no brainer to make street legal. Please please please...

FR350 has a catalytic converter, the highway model doesn't!

Three Way Catalyst (TWC), single-bed, closed-loop warm up

Notice the EDV rated power (kW) 17 vs 34 . .

Don't be too upset - the 350 EXC is an enduro while the FR is a hybrid Trials bike. I just want the same power that the EU is getting - it will never be (and shouldn't be) an EXC.

it is not a hibrid Trial bike. The roots of this bike are Enduro with a touch of Trial and not the other way around.
In some condition, this bike can go very very fast.

I'd be happy to! That's what a bunch of these guys have wanted for years - a Trials geometry (look at the rake and trail specs) with an enduro transmission, seat and gas tank, and lighter weight.

I won't argue semantics with you. You think Enduro roots because it is a KTM, and the engine is derived from the 350 XC / EXC. Look at the chassis specs. This is what HYBRID means.
