New tag!

The new tag is within the 1 hour time limit from Charlottesville...by 1 or 2 minutes depending on which route you take.
Brainiac was interested in the history of the area so I took him to what is now a Park. Cool, new to me too! It still fits in with what I had in mind too.
In this Park (amongst other interesting things) is a replica of a post office building.

The money shot. Pay attention to the fence post on the left of the bike...

Yes, this one...

B man is hiding under the leaves, under the lower fence rail.

PS: If you find the address online don't use Google maps. Their screwed!

That shouldn't give too much trouble at all. If ya want more clues...just ask! Time for a beer before I post up on the NWVA game. Enjoy!

F'n sweet!!! Have to go do that one tomorrow
Try taking the road past the park til it ends. I had a blast on it on the Beastie earlier this summer.

Been there, done that quite a few times. Also, see my post about it on the NWVA tag game. Not exactly the same road but they do meet up. Actually that's where I was going to set it but ran out of time. Can't get much done when I don't leave the house till 1:30.

So, I guess you recognized it by the pics?

I recognize it by the pics. I've turned right there and gone hiking many times, and I've kept going past it to go camping many times. Love that area.

Eh? Here Tis

Finding

The Beastie and the Brain
The road past here goes to within a mile of the Drive.

New Location ~ Orange County, road sounds like Stickin Fountain

It's near here.

Placed here, covered in leaves

Behind this tree. (the one with the arrow)

This is near where the pavement ends (or begins depending on which direction you're going)

When you leave here you can go to Orange for a bite to eat (El Vaquero is great, as is The Lightwell)
Or you can head to Gordonsville and grab some kick ass BBQ at the BBQ Exchange

Good Luck.

Nice day to ride!
Was out on the Beastie for half the day. Hope some one had a chance to snag the Brain and relocate it.

New Tag spot, the brain now hangs out under a stick at the base of the "End State Manitenance" sign behind my bike in this pic:

And it's at the end of a pretty short road:

This road is in a "blink-and-you'll-miss-it" sized town. I turned off a turnpike in this town and onto this road. The town used to be named after a blacksmith's shop that stood nearby. The town has a new name, but the word "new" is not in the new name (or the old name). If it was, it would be a town in Westchester County, New York. Oh, and there was a Civil war skirmish in this town involving J.E.B. Stuart and his troops escaping a Union attack. I learned that from the historical marker at the spot where the tag road begins.

Gosh, that seems like way too many clues, but if you need more, take a look at my last "grab" post.

The Brain is waiting for you.

Wow, C'ville tag! This I can play with a newborn when the tags are only 10-20 minutes away.

I'm off. I know where this is...
