Grab!!!

No more fake brucings. Rode the KLR to work today so I could grab The Brain on my lunch break. Needless to say I was in a hurry, so only one quick pic from the pier and I was off

New tag!

This place has to be close enough for me to get there and back to work in under an hour, including the grab and all the pics I took at the new tag spot. So this was challenging.

Also wanted to keep the theme going.

So the tag is now buried under some sand, precariously close to this river, at the base of this cool tree:

See the stick

From a couple steps back:

From another angle with the bike in the shot:

And just the bike:

Need clues? Lots of other stuff to do at this Charlottesville city/county of albemarle park. But no lights, so it's closed at dark.

Man that was a cold ride home in the snow! Wasn't expecting that! Stupid weather channel app.

But hey, got a tag out of it!

Nice grab. Between my daughter and google earth figured out the new location. Never been there.
Scoped out my next drop off location this evening while enjoying the snow. (ridin' in the Jeep of course)
If I were more of an Eskimo......I would make the grab and drop-off tomorrow.

Well I'm pretty close to being a real Eskimo and I'm still not planning a grab tomorrow and even this afternoon I wimped out on it. I think I figured out where this is too and also have never been there... nice tag!! I wonder who will be the first to brave the elements to get it or will we all wait and try on the same day again. ha

Just in case nobody rode yesterday - it was friggin cold. Especially with no gear (hey, I had long johns under my levi's) and seemed to be a bit colder in Waterford than here.
All in all, an excellent day to buy a new to me WR250R
Really, I only rode a few miles. The hard part was loading the bike on the trailer, on top of a hill with the wind whipping. My hands were so cold I could barely operate the tiedowns. Off for insurance/DMV and Morton's to scope out gear!

Maybe if he had some Hippo Hands...

I know the OP was a little over the top but what a bunch of dull tools that hang out in the basement...

Thanks! I can't remember if the last time I rode Blakey Ridge was on the 950SE or driving Grimmboys truck and trailer to pick up a crashed rider during a BMW Xplor event.
I hope to get out in the next day or two.
