Pretty spot. Never been there. Rode up the back side of Reddish Knob. Found some snow.

On the CT?

Well whoever goes after this tag, don't go haulin' ass' through the private community down there to get to it. You can get there without doing that.

I already have one curse on me...

Nope, not on the CT.

But these four kids made it up the 3,200 foot climb from Bridgewater on scooters. One was on a clapped out 49cc Carabella that he had slapped an electronic ignition on it and had a car battery strapped onto it between his legs. He had to run beside it at times in the really steep parts and had to paddle with his feet part of the way. These kids were impressive and they were having a ball!

We rode FR61 up the back side of Reddish (WRR and KLR) a couple of weeks ago from FR95 to WV25. Leaves were deep and covering the rocks/ruts pretty effectively. If you rode that in the snow my hat is off to you.
I took my wife up on Reddish a couple of weeks ago, she had never been there. She didn't like riding in the car up the skinny part much but sure liked the view from the top.
There were youngsters on scooters from H'burg up there the first time I ever went. Must be a rite of passage.

Brrr, it's chilly out there. Reality check on the Yamaha with no w/s or heated grips.
I was in the neighborhood and checked - Mighty Mouse is still in his hiding spot. I was good and rode in on the State road rather than through the private neighborhood.
I may have even grabbed it if I had been carrying a camera.
Gravel roads are nice and packed with no dust - perfect for tagging.

There's a lot for sale on the private road so no worries about riding through.

I just meant don't be a hooligan. There are sensitive souls in them there woods.

I know you with your rooster tailing and spraying gravel all over the place all the time hollerin' "Yeehaw Motherfuckers!"...

I know what you mean! I need to get a windscreen for the new XR. I did order these the other day though...

http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/p/...k+heated+grips

An inmate in the XR owners sign in thread who had purchased them awhile back for the $19.99 price, posted Sunday-Monday(?) that they were on sale for $9.99! Unfortunately it was only a one or two day sale.
They have their issues according to some folks...low setting too cold, high setting too hot, trouble getting the wires on the throttle side set up so as not to get pulled out while using the throttle, nothing too serious. He said they were easy to install and work great. For $20 dollars I think you can't go wrong.
They should be in today or tomorrow.

If you DO get these, use one or two pieces of 1" shrink wrap on the left bar so the bar doesn't act like a heat sink. I believe that was the low setting to cold issue. The wiring issue is easily remedied.

Good luck and stay warm!

Grab Miller Lake Road.

Hard to see the 3rd bike in the second picture. We are going to tag it tomorrow. Awesome day for riding today!! Now we have no choice but to ride tomorrow in the cold. I might tag it in front of my house again and just ride to the top of the driveway.

Ok so I am glad we didn't ride much elevation today. It was definitely cold. In the spirit of the holidays we added a little treat for the next person who grabs the tag. Hopefully the tin can keeps the elements and any critters out. I don't know if any of you will recognize the tin can I used. It's a great Canadian coffee shop that , in my opinion, far surpasses anything Starbucks makes. Anyway, I digress, as I didn't leave coffee and the tin has nothing to do with the location of the tag. In fact, perhaps my brain is too frozen because I can't think of a good clue to tell you where the tag is without just telling you where it is! It is on a road that leads into Earlysville (or away from Earlysville, depending on your direction of travel). The road doesn't go anywhere and it is marked as a lane. It is off of Reas Ford Road and you will pass Graemont lane. The three numbers add up to 13.

The tag is in the can with your gift at the end of state maintenance sign. Ok, go put on your heated gear or just brave the cold without heated gear like I did and move this tag before Santa figures it out and snags it.

Oh, and please don't ride past this point. The road turns into a driveway. We chatted with some nice people on the road.
