Maybe?

I went for it yesterday and didn't see the monkey so I didn't post. But I was looking at the bottom of the pipe and not the connection. I'll go back this afternoon to see if it is there.

If someone else has him post up. Otherwise I'll drop a tag tomorrow or Fri.

New tag

SO I went back and the monkey was still there, but as we rode out in the rain he started crying that he had been left in the rain and cold so long he wanted to stay somewhere warm until the rain and cold were over so I let him nap in the tank bag for a while.

But now it's warm as so he is out again...

The new tag is a boat launch just above a dam visible from 29 and that UVA rowing team might be afraid of going over during practice. The monkey in behind the rock shown.

Fair warning the gates to this area close at 6pm so don't be late.

Tag

Nice to meet you today SST! I will start plans for a ride and eat for us all in the area!

Tag is now sitting in daffodils behind the sign in this picture. Everyone might not know Glen Echo Farm. It is at the end of a road that ends state maintenance .4 miles, off Profitt road. Turn at the Profitt historical sign. I think I've said more than enough. Go get this in the snow!!

Feel free to use my RTE thread if you'd like. That is unless you are thinking about a locals weeknight RTE.

http://www.advrider.com/forums/showt...60536&page=168

The previous lease is up and space is available! I had posted on there earlier, "another RTE would be posted soon", but have not done so. Go for it!

I want to see the snow grab too! Good seeing some tagging going on!

Thanks bwalsh! I might use your thread for it, I was actually thinking of planning an actual ride, then we'd go to eat - the ride being the bigger part of the plan. A few things to check on in terms of best weekend, but I'm thinking we should do something here in the Cville area sometime in the next few weeks!!

I had picked up a few county maps for the area, (The old black and white county maps show what's gravel and what's tarmac) and was trying plan out a gravel road ride through Albemarle and surrounding counties. I got as far highlighting all the gravel roads for Alb., Greene, Madison, Orange. That might be something fun to put together.

Yes this would be perfect vabuckaroo!!! I'll PM you and I'll meet up with you one day when you are working in town at ACAC. Heck I'll get a session from you too - I need to work out :) :) I was very sore after the dirt rider class a few weeks ago and realized I need to work out much more. I've had a lazy winter :)

I'll switch this conversation to the Cville thread too - we should start posting up ideas on the best weekend.

Yep! That bike was on the class! :) I was there too, trying to keep that bike going and upright. I was exhausted with a big smile after that.

On my way to C'ville to go see the "Why we Ride" movie at Wooly mammoth, I swung by profit road and picked up the tag.

Placed the new tag here on the way home.

While cruising the little back roads, I got stopped at this railroad crossing and figured it was as good a tag spot as any. Monkey is at the base of the railroad crossing signal post in the right of the picture.

CLUE:

New tag spot is on "the old road to Barboursville".

And so, the GRAB was on Old Barboursville Road at Rt. 20:

Hey, I'm not completely blind. It's warm (windy as hell) and the Strom hadn't been out for a week and a half.

Tag:

It's a bit south of the grab location. Look in the guard rail closest to the bike in the upper rail part.

Road name, in part, is who you would go see if you were sick + "Crossing".

Doctors crossing rd bridge.

New tag. Go to the ENTRY and RUN to the end of this rd or at least till you get to this gate. Our friend is chilling under the rock to the left of gate, he actually enjoys living under a rock and couldn't care less about the missing Malaysia flight or obamacare... But he did say he would also stick his head in the sand if given the opportunity.
