Foot pegs for 690 Enduro

Hi Guys,

I own the new 690 Enduro. I am riding a lot by standing on the foot pegs hence I wish to have really large foot pegs that are wider than just 50 mm.

Now I realized that especially for this great 690 adventure bike, such foot pegs are hardly available.
E.g. Warp 9 Racing pegs fit nearly all KTMs but not the 690.

Do you have any idea which large pegs are available?

What do you think about the
Billet Footrest Extensions? Would you trust this construction?

Thanks in advance.

They look sturdy enough.

Just a question: what kind of boots are you wearing?
I'm kindly asking this as I never felt the need for larger footpegs.

I agree with you, there is no need for larger foot pegs when I am wearing proper full plastic cross boots (I guess this is what you mean).

But this new 690 I bought for long distance traveling (a couple of weeks vacation e.g. in summerly Italy ) and then I prefer more comfortable (soft) street/enduro boots that can also be used for a little walking in town. Since my main target in such holidays is still mainly offroad tracks (not suitable for a twin ), I need more stability hence larger pegs when using such leather boots.

I have used a set of these for a while now, no problems whatsoever. What I like most about them is the ability to move my feet around on long trips, something that is not an option with pegs that are only wider side-to-side. www.ziptyracing.com Dean Wood Checkers M.C.

All the nearly all KTM footpegs will fit the 690 as well. They are the same as the EXC and 9x0 pegs. I have switched around my mark3 pivotpegs between the 950 and 690.

I am using the Billet Footrest Extensions and love them. I did a solid 6 days of all day riding in Baja and they were very comfortable and durable. I rode another bike for a short time with standard pegs and was very glad I had those extensions on my pegs. Night and day comfort difference.

Hi guys,

In May I decided to go for the new Mark 3 Pivot Pegz. These are absolutely great.

watch out: they are NO wider (or longer, what is it..) than the originals. I bought them with the idea that they would be widers as in standing further appart as well, they are not.

Dont hate them but would not buy them again.

Now you could opt for the factory 690 rally pegs, they are wider than the stock ones and really nice

Even better than the 690 Rally pegs are the Fastway Adventures IMO. Super light (lighter than the smaller Fastway evolutions), huge platform and very good grip.

Love them for adventure riding over the Pivot Pegs, which I have on my enduro.

Warning

I just tried to fit my Fastway Adventure pegs onto my 2014 690 Enduro R and they would not fit.

Yes, I have the correct fit kit - at least the only one available for KTM.

But it wasn't even the press fit collar that was stopping me. The peg wouldn't fit into the mount.

FYI. Consider yourself warned!

But actually I might just grind off some metal from the mount tomorrow which will probably fix it.

Well, since this thread has resurfaced, i bought the BDCW pegs recently, a lot wider and deeper front to back and also 1/2" lower, which doesn't sound much, but it is awesome, sitting and standing you have more room. Love the pegs.

Not sure about all the aftermarket pegs, but the stock KTM pegs won't swap 950 to 690. The 690 pegs are shouldered. I found this out while trying to install 950 Black Dog pegs on my 690. Fortunately, Kurt is now making 690 specific pegs. The 690 pegs will move to the 950, however, stock or otherwise.
