I had bike issues too, had to replace the flywheel oil seal, the crankshaft oil seal, rear wheel bearings....more should be done but its a Honda it will keep on going...LOL

Oh and I installed some HDB guards, also sorting out the electrical due to me now having all LED's...got the LED Flasher Relay on order so that should be in soon and take care of that issue.

Hey Modette, a little heads up on your friday ride. Corral Draw trail (521) is a bit difficult to access legally. It starts, for your route, off the Colorado trail which is non motorized. Soo we cut in a connector trail coming off rd 520, its only a few hundred yards long but it keeps you off the Colorado trail for the most part. I was up there yesterday and I stacked a pile of rocks on rd 520 to mark this connector which is easy to miss. So you'll head west on 520 about a mile or less from the fork with 550, Scotch Creek. the rockpile is on the right of the road, the trail is just 50 yrds up the road on your left. take this through the trees til you hit the Colorado trail, hang a right and you'll see corral draw within about 50 yrds.

Also, its not a very technical trail but it does have a lot of narrow trail on a steep sidehill action. bigger bikes will be nightmarish if they fall off, its steep!

Calico is great but not what I'd call 650cc friendly and it is a sensitive area as already mentioned so please make sure every one in your group is confident enough to not cause a spectacle of off trail carnage, especially on a saturday.
And make sure every one is game for this kinda of stuff.

Thats my friend Rolf in the back, he's a good rider, he's on a 200 2 stroke and he is pushing through this spot....its pretty serious, way sketchier than it looks..

maybe I'll see ya out on the trail sometime! Enjoy!!

^^^ Thank's for the picture and rock pile and the heads up.

By no means is my ride noob friendly, it's for experienced riders who might have bought a bigger bike but yet have the experience just have not ridden yet on harder terrain. My ride is not a race, we will probably be going slow due to bike size, so just know that.

Bike's: I would say as big as that can come is something like an XR650R which is a dirt bike more so then a Dual Sport. A KLR will be a no go on my single track rides. A BMW 650 also is a no go. I've seen and had guys on huge bikes int he past with some awesome skills...you know who you are, just come talk with me beforehand.

Warning: The two single track rides I lead might require you to get off, push, pull and help others. You might be picking the rear of your bike up repeatedly to get it in a line you need or over a rock. Being in shape is a plus, but more so having ridden awhile and wanting to challenge yourself will be a big factor. This ride is meant to challenge and push yourself to the limit. We will be beat, tired and just pissed off at each other I'm sure by the end. I'll be mentioning the toughness, and I think I will be mentioning it again right before we go to single track as that will be where you will want to turn around.

So enough of the caution...time is almost here and I need to get out and scout for Westfest today for that single track...so later

Whoohooooooo!!!!
As I recall last year, my very expensive Lynx fairing snapped when I took a dip in the stream. This year no precious wind screen to snap. And, of course this year, I'm sporting a much better bike, IMHO....
