Not this weekend but I'm booked for the next 8 weekends after this one. I gotta find a sub for 5/21 so I can go to DG IV.

Does anyone know who the motivational speaker is that lives in a van down by the river? He called and said my bike was floating by...

I hope everyone made it home ok. Soaked boots and all.

Pics if you want them. PM me.

Well I guess it's not an Adventure ride unless we have a little adventure

Let the record show that I was not anywhere near my bike when it went into the river

Greg, sorry you missed out. We had another great ride, some cool new folks joined in (hell, I'm still 'new folks'), and we went home with something to talk about.

Stopping for gas ...

stopping for a quick photo ...

Leo says he's a n00b, but he didn't have much trouble ...

We politely took turns going through the covered bridge ...

and through a water crossing ...

the stuntman went through twice ...

This water crossing was a bit too deep ...

though some thought about it for a few minutes ...

and thought about it ...

hmmm ...

That's when the aforementioned disaster occurred, induced by a freak gust of wind and abetted by a too-long sidestand ...

Since Omar was already soaked, he then decided to see how deep the "short" water crossing was ...

This meeting of the Polar Bear Club is hereby called to order:

I was still up for some riding on my way home, so I took Skyline Drive to Waynesboro (and took 250 into C'ville). Had the road to myself, and saw hundreds of deer up of SD (you could feed hundreds of families all year long with that meat!) Finally rolled into C'ville around 8:30. Great time today.

Jeff and Leo, real nice to meet you guys.

Damn. Awesome ride. Yah - route pic please.

We are past the hump gentlemen. We have both light and heat on our side.

Heat?? There was no heat! Mostly because I lost my power cord for my heated jacket. But it was kinda cold, esp up in the mountains of WVA, there was snow on the ground. Oh yeah, also when I jumped in the Shennendoah.
