I need to ship a bike from denver to ATL
So I am riding out from atlanta west June 2 with two friends. we will eventually loop around to wyoming where they are going to hang for the summer, whereas I have to get back to my job. My plan because I will run out of time to get back to work, is to ride the bike to denver and fly out of denver june 25. I was able to get a free ticket via skymiles, just enough. I wanted to see what ideas people had for shipping my motorcycle back to Atlanta. Or if anybody was going to be driving to atlanta post june 25 with a trailer. I can drop the bike anywhere in Denver, or I could put it in storage and drive it back later [less desirable]... any and all ideas appreciated.
Normally I would make fun of somebody for shipping a bike so you can skip that. I just realized that I can have four more days of riding wyoming, idaho, colorado instead of highway riding against the clock to get to work monday morning. Thanks. this is jess... |

due to overwhelming reply i have found a shipper via uship.com that i am happy with but need someplace to leave the bike when I fly out. I was thinking of calling the local KTM dealer? anybody have a better idea? There is a 3 day window for pickup...

I used Freightcenter.com to ship from Boston to Salt Lake. My bike sat in their SLC warehouse for a week or so before I arrived to pick it up. If you are shipping back from Denver, why wouldn't it be the same deal?
You ride to the pick-up warehouse/truck terminal. Do the paperwork. Ride the bike onto a pallet with a chock. They strap it in and cover it and you take a cab to the Airport. Unless I missed something, why store it anywhere?
