I'm in for a full set of valve caps and also need an estimate for having my GB500 head reworked and a big fin head installed.

I have a spare GB500 engine and want to have a reliable big bore 600+, with usable street cam, street compression, and reworked big fin head. Muzzy had a similar setup for the GB500 that worked well.

I'm also interested in having the complete engine built.

Thanks
Chet

Look for one.

The bigger question is why you would want one if you're not limited to using it. I think starting with at least a factory 600 bottom end would be money ahead in the search for big power.

Will the kit fit a 600r as well?

If you build I will buy!

Are 650l and 600r heads the same? They look identical to me without having both to compare.
Even if there are some small differences i'll still have a kit and make it fit.

There the same heads...with a few minor changes in combustion chamber volume.
Look at the XRL thread I have some new pics of my cloverleaf head posted there.

I have a few RS600 cranks left over from the old race days 75mm stroke and 80mm stroke.

They are not the same, Motomechanic. An '88+ XR600 head will drop onto a 650L with the only side effect being that the smog ports on the cylinder will be disabled. Using a 650L head on a 600 requires the air injection holes in the bottoms of the exhaust ports to be plugged.

Been a while now.

Hi CW
Just wondering how the order book is looking for these kits and if you've done a production run yet?
Still keen to get a kit sent down under and weld it on myself.
