Quick question....what time of year did you ride? Looks like great weather, you all looked really comfortable and not hot and sweaty. I was out there last year and didn't see the quality of country you have posted. Thanks!

Great

You did a great job. Moab is a must for any style of motorcycle. It is incredable. Now you went and made me want to go right back. Also for those thinking about a trip out there, my trip involved a number of ...how you say? Bike issues everyone in town was very nice and helpful and willing to go way out of their way. Can't say enough nice things about the entire area. Such great pitcures, I am going to refer to your post when telling folks about my trip

White Rim Trail...

The views here are tough to capture with a camera. Though... pics are better than words to describe it.

My XR650L is officially spoiled rotten. She gets pissed when I ride her into the slums of Baltimore. She has threatened to fry a CDI

I'm pretty sure Patrick could clear this canyon at the speed he rides

The first step is a doozie

BIG sky country.

We were sitting down and takin a break. One of our guys had a wheel bearing headed south and limped back a LONG way. It was a fast limp if I know Junior

Skinny Jay thinkin... I CAN MAKE IT!

A side trail from the White Rim to the Colorado River. LOTS of sand in the bottom of this one. Stay ON the gas and sit back! Get off the gas and its a handful with front end washout.

OMG another vehicle and not one with enough ground clearance!

Todd leadin the way...

Up next Gemini Bridges, Arches, La Sal Mountain Pass and more.

Trip was 5/14/11 to 5/21/11 Mostly very cool temps in the morning and warming up in the afternoon. I got caught solo into a snow squall at 8000+ ft elevation one afternoon. GREAT fun...
We never got into brutally HOT temps.

Gemini Bridges...

Next up Gemini Bridges. Some pretty cool land bridges surrounded by wide open spaces, gorgeous views and neato rock formations.

Oh look, an empty parking lot AGAIN!

Which Greek Philosopher once said we as humans are merely shadows on a cave wall? Aristotle, Plato, who? College is 26 yrs ago. LOL

Looking UNDER the bridge...

JUNIOR ----> YOU GET DOWN FROM THERE RIGHT NOW!!!

I wonder if those are tire marks from Junior riding up there

It seems you can drive off these bridges to your death. Not a good idea. RIP

Shot from Gemini Bridge as the light is changing. This was shown on page one but is also one of my favs...

Next up, ARCHES!!! When this ride report is done, you guys will have seen it all and will have no places left to explore I wanna go back.

Generally the best times (which are also the most "crowded" times...which of course is a relative term) are Spring and fall. Mid-March through May and Mid Sept-Oct.

A lot of the area is rideable year round if there is not snow, some trails like Porcupine Rim stay snow covered due to the location.

You see a lot of spring break traffic late March (Think Co-eds in spandex ) and a lot of Jeep traffic for the Safari around Easter.

Oppressively hot in the summer.

Sorry, can't take your word for it, gotta see for myself if these places really exist or are merely clever photoshopping.
