BMW Enduro Bash Plate Owners Report Please

You know, the plate that should have come with the GSA in the first place ?
Mounting question. The rear most mount that goes over the exhaust. I cant seem to get the mounting bracket close enough to attach to the supplied clamps once hung over the frame brace.
What am I doing wrong ?
Thanks fellas in advance.

Frank

Is that an official BMW plate you are putting? Where did you get it and how much?

Thanks!

It's on the MaxBMW parts list at $319.95. I have installed one on my 12GS and love it. I would guess that every BMW dealer has or can get one for you.

I understand the q after the initial install however thereafter, it is quite easy. Loosen the front two bottom torx, remove the other four, then remove the front two to drop the pan. 5 minute job.

Hi Frank,

Not a big deal on dropping it. Easier than I thought it would be. Don't be an idiot like me and forget to put the rubber piece back in. Really enjoyed taking the damn thing off a 2nd time.

A friend of mine powder coated mine black to match the crash bars and valve covers. Looks nice on the white GS with black wheels.
