Joel's party bivy. We saw the light and heard the music, but none of us were invited.

Just the continuation of a bad joke that should have probably ended before it ever started.

soon, we're on some open roads (anza borrego)

this road starts easy

everyone made sure we gave the leader of H on W room to pass

then it started to look like a jeep track

then sandy; sorry no more pics...i was clinging to my dear life.

those panniers really taking over the whole road

i am confused, how did the H on W riders ended up behind us???

surf's up....

Definitely, Joel, fantastic photos.

I guess everyone said this, but I was fortunate to find myself in the funnest, most immature group of all. Blake, Scott, Joel, DJ -- you guys were a blast!

Did anyone else notice the lack of a holes on this ride? (Yes, I know....present company excluded...)

after pitching their tents and my 4-man bivy......time for an early refreshment

roger bought a complete set of camping gear, including chair and jetboil just for this event. great way to get the economy going...

the rogue himself didn't go cheap on this camping trip. new agnes down bag, goretex bivy sack, mattress, etc. according to john, he likes goretex since it doesn't trap his fart.....

a blow up sleeping bag....

it seems lonestar brought quality gear too. sorry bob, the kmart shopping bag blew it......

i think the poolboy was overdressed that afternoon....

the 2013 bmw disguised as a klr...

Great pictures Joel! It was great to ride with the only person who spent more time with only one hand on the bars. And I thought I took a lot of pictures . . .

I had forgotten (blocked?) the hawk incident from my mind!

(It's fun sorting through 1,000 pictures to find the 55 good ones, huh? )
