I somehow dumped all my photos. One click and they're gone!
Sometimes multi-tasking just isn't a good idea.

Aww thanks Roger that almost makes freezing that night worth while

You get the most prepared award. I could learn a few things about long distance desert ridding prep from ya.

Thanks also to Jeremy for leading our group 4, which included Arny and Mike.
You bet Bob, nice to meet ya

.

lior was our ride leader that sunday morning; he claimed he knows the way from dannyG (now we're pucked)....

i can't wait for craigs RR and how his kid loving it

i didn't take the picture of the ride up. it wasn't easy on a fully loaded 640, it was like lippencott, except this one has a lot of turns and several tight switchbacks. check out rider914's RR.

group pics while waiting for matt

thanks arny for sweeping; and the klr which refused to be a klr....

Trying to Catch Strega While Staying Ahead Of SpaFxr

What A Great Time Everyone!!

Turn down the sound, it gets pretty loud with the wind and poor quality camera.

After Lunch We Head Up Mesa Grande Rd to Black Canyon Rd/Ramona

Same deal here, poor sound quality so please turn down the sound.

Bringing the camera was an afterthought, so of course I lose my batteries right here early on in the day. Bummer.

we got lost

on the way to julian, the rain and fog limited our visibility, then a truck got in front of us and we lost the riders in front of us.

really got bad at one point, can't see much

well, the riders in front didn't wait for us at the turn, jeremy and i ended up following the wrong rider.

we saw the roadies, and assumed this was the right place. meanwhile, the rest were in julian.

anyway, still fun hooking up with the other PPs for the last time.....

after the coffee break, johngil, jeremy and i were persistent that we keep on riding regardless of the weather condiiton.

the sign says closed; we decided to give it a try.

this turned out to be the most fun road that weekend. we were railing every corner and there were so many of them

the view was awesome and we have to stop. here, johngil taking photos that we will never see....

this went for miles and miles.....

made it to vieja grade

then to alpine for lunch

unlike old fashion farts like me, the kids now like to eat with their smart phones....

the mexican lunch was very good

after lunch, we could still ride the trails south of hw8, but since it was around 2 pm, we all decided to end the ride. it's still a long way home on those thumpers. save it for next time.

think, i put almost 400 exciting miles on my trusty 640E.

really thankful to everyone who participated and make this event happened. hey craig (chime in once the ban is lifted), we all appreciate your effort and with the help of blake, we had a epic weekend.
